We recently had a customer tell us he wanted to propose to his girlfriend with help from man’s best friend! He says their dog is just another member of the family and with some ribbon and a small pouch he hopes this will make the proposal more personal! Obviously, having a four-legged friend help out could turn out extremely well and it will make the proposal memorable, but this is going to take some planning! Here are some ideas on proposing with a pet:
1) Get a tuxedo outfit for the pet. She will love seeing him/her dressed up so cute and when she asks you, "why is ___ dressed in a tuxedo" you can tell her, "he/she wanted to look nice for this special occasion." Of course she will ask what the occasion is…
2) You could tie a ribbon onto the collar with a note that says "Will You Marry Me?"
3) Put the engagement ring around the pet’s collar and see how long it takes her to notice. We recommend keeping the pet indoors so that you won’t accidentally lose the ring!
4) Teach your pet bird to say “Will You Marry Me?”
5) If you don’t have a pet you can always go visit the local animal shelter and after you’ve picked your perfect pet have her attach the new leash which also has the engagement ring tied on it.
