For the last month I was attending the Gemological Institute of America (G.I.A.) campus to finish my Gemology degree. The campus is located in Carlsbad, California and was by far the most beautiful campus I had ever set foot on. With its location on top of a flowering hill with the ocean in clear view I knew this would be an experience I would never forget! The majority of my days were spent in a student workroom with lab equipment. My goal was to successfully complete my final course, Gem Identification, in a timely manner. The focus was separating natural versus synthetic gemstones and being able to identify any stone I was given. After four weeks I was able to successfully complete the course and come back to Austin a Graduate Gemologist! Hooray!
Congrats Annie!!

Congratulations Annie! And I noticed you didn't mention on there that you passed your test on the first try! Which is no small feat, as some take it multiple times before passing.

Thank you Shelby and Preston! It was quite an adventure and I'm so glad to be home and back to my Calvin's family!
