Proposals and masterpieces
Most recently, Jeff Gurwin of New York City hired a team of painters to create an eye-catching mural in the East Village featuring a cherry blossom tree with Scrabble block blossoms asking his girlfriend Caitlin Fitzsimons if she would, perchance, marry him. According to the Huffington Post, the painting will be up for about a month, affording locals the chance to soak up some inspiration.
Other notables have enlisted the aid of videographers to craft custom movie trailers to be played at the local theater, or have had newspaper editors create a special crossword puzzle meant especially for their ladyloves to decipher.
The moral of the story? Even those who can't draw a stick figure to save their lives can come up with and direct a concept that others will be all too happy to collaborate on.
